INFO
We started off 2020 with a trip to Nashville, Tennessee!
Drew and I are in a season of life with limited vacation days from his job. Every year we have to choose whether to join in with our family trips and sacrifice our own adventures or explore the world just the two (or four) of us. Nashville was already on our list and we got the best of both worlds over this weekend trip!
There was no set itinerary for everyone to follow so Drew and I got up with the sun and explored Nashville together. We started with Sun & Fork for some amazing breakfast bowls right across the street from the Parthenon (Greek replica). Afterwards we walked around Vanderbilt and Belmont campuses! Thanks for the pics, hubby!
From there we walked 12 South and had to try Five Daughters Bakery and stopped in Madewell, my favorite! (But we didn’t cross the street for Draper James so did we even Nashville?!)

We were so close to our Airbnb that we stopped in for a bit to see what everyone else was doing and to watch a couple episodes of The Office. Pretty typical of us.

Next we took an Uber to the Gulch area and had coffee with one of Drew’s high school friends and her fiancé! Thank you so much Ally and Brad for introducing us to Barista Parlor and the best dang tacos we have EVER had at Superica’s! We are so bummed we forgot to take a photo with you two, but we definitely got one of the food! Side note: everywhere we travel, we try the local coffee and tacos. Everywhere. Nashville wins so far!

After eating, we headed to Pedestrian Bridge for a photo op! It was pretty cool to see the Nashville skyline and Drew liked the view of Nissan Stadium over the water.

Our last stop was the Frist Art Museum. My favorite is the cutest 50th anniversary display of all of Eric Carle’s work! I thought the necklace he made his wife and some of his fan mail from over the years was adorable!

From there we joined the rest of the crew on Broadway for dinner and another night out with fam! We had so much fun celebrating the last of Drew’s cousins to turn 21! Thank you, Sassy, for giving us a reason to make Nashville happen and for an amazing start to our year! Xoxo
